
Professional Singapore (PS) - Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW) Programme
Based on our experience and track record, we are launching the Professional Singapore (PS) - Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW) Programme to align with raising the standard of the domestic worker ecosystem with various stakeholders comprising employers, service providers and domestic workers.
Selected MDW will undergo training in 3 domains (ASK):
Attitude
including mental wellness and stress management
Skill-Set
including basic English language and Mandarin
Knowledge

Fee of the Pre-Employment Training will be co-paid by the potential employer and the selected MDW
The Fee of the Pre-Employment Training at SGD250 will be co-paid by the potential employer and the selected MDW. However, for MDW who wish to be prepared and ready for immediate job placement, they will have to do upfront payment of the programme and the employer’s co-payment will be reimbursed to them once they are matched with a potential employer.
4 levels of Pre-Employment Training
Basic Training
Language training will be conducted jointly in the local country and online by Singapore Office. (20 hours leading to 5 credits – 4 hours, 5 half-days; SGD50)

Intermediate Training
Attitude training will be conducted online by Singapore Office.
(20 hours leading to 5 credits - 4 hours, 5 half-days; SGD50)

Advanced Training
Skills training in general household chores and cleaning will be conducted online by Singapore Office. (20 hours leading to 5 credits - 4 hours, 5 half-days; SGD50)

Expert Training (Level 1)
i. Elderly Care/ Nursing
ii. Infant Care/ Governor Duties
iii. Cooking/ Culinary Skills
iv. Hygiene – Personal and Food Handling
v. Digitalisation/ Managing Intelligent Homes and Appliances
(20 hours leading to 10 credits - 4 hours, 5 half-days; SGD100)

Certificates upon Completion

Certificate of Competence (COC)
will be issued for completion of the 4 levels of training.

Certificate of
Attainment (COA)
will be issued for successfully completing each level of training.
Separately, all MDWs will have to attend the Settling-in-Programme (SIP) arranged by the Singapore Government with selected Training Providers. The SIP of SGD75.70 is payable by the MWD employer.
